Joshua Akowien

Joshua Akowien is co-founder and co-chief executive officer of Rayonner Properties, the Abuja real estate marketing and development company he runs with Jonathan Odogun. He has worked in property since 2014 and in business since 2004 — over a decade on the land and more than two decades running firms.

Alongside Rayonner, he owns 3D Hub Tech Solutions, an Abuja ICT and digital company in Abuja, and works as a business consultant to operators trying to grow past the stage where everything depends on one person's memory. Property and consulting run through the same filter for him: find where money leaks, fix the process, measure what actually happened.

He brought that into real estate at exactly the right point. Rayonner was built on title diligence — searches at the FCT Authority, deeds of assignment, certificates of occupancy, and a written report on every parcel before it is offered to a client, not after. His conviction is that a plot is only half a product. The other half is
how well it is verified, priced, documented, and communicated, and the gap between what a piece of Abuja land is advertised as and what it turns out to be is where people lose money.

At Rayonner, he leads growth, strategy, pricing, and investor relations, including clients buying from the UK, US, and Canada who need a structure, a timeline, and an honest answer about risk before they transfer anything. He is direct about what he knows and equally direct about what he does not, and he would rather lose a sale than carry a client into a bad title.
